Portraiture photography offers more than just a snap of a face, it is the time spent, the understanding of the subject and the relationship between photographer and the client, portraits can be formal, relaxed, environmental and often take time, although the best shots can happen when least expected.
The enjoyment of taking a portrait is getting to the point where everyone who needs to be involved are on the same page no matter what type of portrait is required, it could be a technical business headshot, a new series for an actor, the in depth look into someones life purely through a photograph, it is my job to make sure that for the person being photographed they feel they are the centre of my complete attention, and I will.
